这几天的事情，很多巧合，蹊跷，或者应该说是奇妙。

7号从家里返回上海，在火车上用笔记本上看Real world Haskell。看这个比较安全，因为对周围人来说它好比天书（夸张一下，我对公众环境下用个人电脑比较有顾虑）。虽旁坐美女，但心无杂念地读到了第12章，条码识别，眼中已经全是斑马纹饰。晚上抵达，结束9天无网生活，打开浏览器，条码成为Google Logo。这真是被雷到。原来Google 庆祝的是条码的57岁生日，又不是60大寿，为啥这么隆重的庆祝？我严重怀疑这是因为Googler读了这书才建议放个条码在首页。

JA和SPJ一起受邀讨论语言Erlang和Haskell，看题目就知道一定很精彩。JA说自己也看了这本书。

JA没指望Erlang会在产业和社区上像Java那样成功，也许就想当年Smalltalk那样。他说Ericsson是个funny place，至少在开发编程语言这个意义上。

苹果突然更新IPhone软件，版本升到3.1.2，其中一个补丁是”Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart”，直觉告诉我值得把这条新闻记录下来，毕竟为此加班到午夜。

TechCrunch贴出Mint创始人Aaron Patzer的一个讲演，要忍不住推荐。不是因为Mint卖了1.7亿美元，因为在最后他感慨创业一次会如何改变一个人。难以想像，此人3年前还是个nerd。

Nerds从北极回来了，TBBT开始了第三季。我到淘宝订了两件大耳朵的T-shirts，天气渐凉，我也要套着穿。

Below is transcript of part of the talk Aaron given, the most inspiring part for me.

Been acquired is more than just the cash, and I want to take a personal moment on the stage and say that, especially to all you that there who want to start a company that have valid vision, what it really does beyond what can do for you economically, is something on a very personal level. To me it was incredibly gratifying.

And to me I started 3 years ago as a very introverted, ordinary engineer, didn’t date a lot. I can pick up women, no problem. (Laughters) As all the time, I always has the same taste of my caring team(???), and we won’t get the overlaps but, you know it’s true Mike. (Laughters) So it’s being something that’s transformative to me in just building you a rock solid self confidence in term of who I am, and not be introverted, and not be the guy who just sits in the room and codes all the time, which is gratifying. But in becoming more and in learning the skill sets that takes through the entire business and learning marketing, learning sales, business development, learning how to recruit, learning how to deal with people, tricky management issues. Regardless of whether you ultimately going to lose. That is something you can never ever be taken away from you.
